Ayo is a popular strategy board game that originated in West Africa. This Android version of this game is interactive, engaging and addictive.The board consists of two rows of six houses, one side for each player. The game begins with four seeds in each of the twelve houses, totaling 48. You then decide from which house you will take all four seeds for distributing, one in each house, counter-clockwise. The objective of the game is to win holes (called houses) on the board. To win houses, you must capture as many seeds as you can during each round.Capturing seeds and winning houses:1. If you own a house with three seeds and you drop a seed in that house (making a total of four seeds in your house), you can capture those seeds.2. If you drop one seed in your opponent's house with three seeds (totaling four seeds) your opponent captures all four seeds.3. However, if you drop a seed into your opponent's house to make a total of four seeds, you can capture all four seeds if the seed you drop is the last one you have in hand (this case is different from the second because you're using your last seed to total four in your opponent's house).When all the seeds have been captured, the ownership of houses changes for the next round. Example: player A captures 28 seeds and player B 20 seeds. Player A will now own seven houses (28/4=7), not just the beginning six houses, and player B will own five houses (20/4=5). All 48 seeds are now back on the board and capturing restarts. The game ends when someone is able to own all 12 houses, or the number of houses both players agree to is reached.This game goes by other names, such as Awari, Oware, Adi, Awale, Woaley, Wari, Ncho, Ouri, Adji, Ogedesi.
